For this project, I created a sustainable site for Lewiston high school. The site included a community mural, an art gallery, an indoor facility, fields used for recreational purposes, native vegetation and an open space for quiet activities. The project is divided into 3 phases.
Phase 1 of the park would include pathways, grass, an open space, trees, and vegetation. These factors are always important because they create connection to the back part of the park
Phase 2 includes the athletic fields and parking near the fields. It organizes the layout and allows the construction for the playground, indoor buildings and the mural.
Phase 3, the last phase, concludes with all the elements being put together to create an experience
Wayfinding
Other assets I created for the park were signs. The signs have recurring themes yellows, browns and dark greys using material such as frosted glass and brick. The Lewiston high school logo was incorporated into the third design, along with an electronic sign for their announcements. The rest of the designs include aspen tree leaves, which are native to the area, and both use dark brick for the base.
